TPS Adds Four Virtual Days To School Calendar

On Aug. 14th, the Tecumseh School Board gave the green light to make changes to the 2023-2024 school calendar, moving four inperson learning days to virtual days. Superintendent Robert Kinsey noted the approved dates are Aug. 24, Nov. 3, Feb. 9, and Apr.

Macomb Teacher Wins State Award, Makes Math Fun

This month marks the 17th year since Math Teacher Sharon Spikes started teaching at Macomb High School. Spikes started in education in 1999 and spent two years at Dickson High School and five years at East Central University as an adjunct instructor.

Just in time for tornado repairs from the April 19 tornado, Shawnee Public Schools has hired a new Executive Director of Operations.

It was all hands on deck at the Pottawatomie County Election Board Tuesday, Aug. 8. Election Secretary Patricia Carter said water was pouring into the basement of the Election Board early Tuesday morning.
