Shawnee Schools Task Force working to meet state graduation requirements

The Dec. 15 Shawnee Board of Education meeting included about one hour and 40 minutes which were packed with information, and one and a half hours of executive session wait time.
A gift basket filled with items from local businesses was given to the Oklahoma Pork Council by the Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce to thank the council for choosing Tecumseh as one of seven sites for a Free Pork Lunch event with 300 meals available on Dec. 16. The Jeffrey Baptiste Foundation, which added a snow globe for this year's theme, won Best Overall in the Shawnee Parade of LIghts on Dec. 12. According to State Rep. Dell Kerbs, with Safe Events for Families, Citizen Potawatomi Nation won Mayor's Choice, Danfoss was the Grand Marshal's Choice, and Firestorm Septic and Shelters was the President's Choice out of 117 entries.
