On Nov. 23, Crows Farm Markets made the announcement on Facebook that they would be closing their Shawnee location at the end of December.Ricky and Claudia Crow have owned the old-fashioned little market known for its fruits and vegetables for 25 years.Located at 730 E.

PCGP hosts First Annual Grinch-Fast

Grinch-Fast was held for the first year at the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Shawnee on Nov. 29, and it raised more than $1,000 for the Pott. County Giving Project, according to a PCGP Facebook post on the same day.

The deadline for adding a child’s name to the Tecumseh Police Department’s Bows of Love Tree is fast approaching: Dec. 8 by 4:30 pm.So far, they have 175 snowman ornaments with children’s descriptions and interests available to “adopt” for Christmas presents in the police station lobby.

The Oklahoma Baptist University Division of Music will present the annual Hanging of the Green Christmas event themed “Comfort and Joy” at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, in the Recreation and Wellness Center on the OBU campus in Shawnee. Advanced reservations for the event are not required.

Tecumseh's Conditional Use Permits in Question

Conditional Use Permits was one of the main topics of discussion at the December Tecumseh City Council meeting. Last month, Councilman John Collier asked the city to look into the list of permits and provide some more details on what was on the books.
