Oklahomans who want to change party affiliation can do so, but need to be aware that the change will not take place until September 1st, Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary Patricia Carter said today. Voters may change their party affiliation online using the OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.

About 300 people gathered at the Ritz Theater in Shawnee on Friday, July 8, for a private screening of the short film called “The Ritz.” For writer and director, Allex Tarr, who grew up in Shawnee, it was the culmination of a dream and a tribute to her grandparents’ love story.

After a two-year absence due to the pandemic, the Earlsboro Alumni Reunion was held Saturday, June 11, 2022. Alumni toured the school buildings reminiscing about past school days. A Cornhole Tournament was held that morning, with the Carter family winning.

A rough estimate of 20,000 to 30,000 people attended the McLoud Blackberry Festival on July 8-9, according to McLoud Chamber of Commerce Office Manager Melanie Krause.
