The Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners approved the purchase of two generator light towers for the Emergency Management office during the meeting Monday, May 2. Three bids were received and reviewed. Native Energy Source submitted a bid for $39,850, Wanco Inc.

A new event will be held in Tecumseh on June 4. Craig MacIntye with spOKeLAHOMA received approval from the Tecumseh City Council Monday to close Broadway for Fenrir Unchaind, a bicyclers race, on the first Saturday in June for the event.

Approval was made at the Monday, May 2 Shawnee City Commission meeting for the adoption of an Anti-Displacement Plan. The request for this plan was made as it is required by the Department of Commerce in order to be compliant as a recipient for the CDBG-CV2 grant.
