SCCDA Hire Dale Yerigan To Run Rodeo, Receive Old Bills

The Shawnee Civic and Cultural Development Authority (SCCDA) moved a few steps closer to hosting the 2022 International Finals Youth Rodeo during the meeting held Thursday, Feb. 17. During the Feb. 7 Shawnee City Commission meeting, $50,000 was approved to assist with costs for the rodeo.

County Approves Purchase Of New Computers For Sheriff’s Office

The Pottawatomie County Sheriff’s Office is getting new computers, docking stations, and printers, and they will receive GPS tracking systems to install in the vehicles. Lt. Jared Strand said the GPS systems would alert the supervisors when the vehicles hit 80 mph, 85 mph, and 90 mph.
