GCTC SkillsUSA Students Make Donation To Veterans

SkillsUSA students at Gordon Cooper Technology Center collected 8,615 pennies and raised $404.73 to help local veterans with their “Helping Vets Makes Cents” coin drive. The GCTC SkillsUSA Chapter donated the proceeds to local veterans’ group, VFW Post 1317, and presented post Jr.

FUB Hosts Benefit And Donates To Big Brother, Big Sister

First United Bank in Shawnee recently hosted “Big Screen Under the Stars” to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shawnee. This movie night, which took place on the back patio of First United Bank, increased awareness of the program in the community and helped raise $2,146.

SSC’s LPN to RN Online Degree Program Receives Accreditation

The Seminole State College Nursing Program’s LPN to RN online degree program was recently accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. In August, the Oklahoma Board of Nursing approved the online option.
