A new “Horse In The City” now on display in Shawnee

There is a new “Horse in the City” in front of the Plaza East Labyrinth Office Park at 722 E. Independence in Shawnee. His name is Tony, and he is the second horse statue in Shawnee that is a tribute to veterans.
Approximately 100 members of the Oklahoma National Guard traveled to Washington to help provide security for President Donald Trump’s inauguration. Before the Jan. 19 Make America Great Again Rally at Capital One Arena, they provided security at 6th & H St. See next week’s edition for a story about a local Oklahoma National Guard member’s experience at the inauguration.
