TPS Board Approves Sale Of School-Owned Land

The Tecumseh School Board met on September 9, 2024 for their regularly scheduled monthly meeting. During the meeting, the board approved the sell of land owned by the District located on the northwest corner of Main Street and South 12th Street in Tecumseh.

Bethel Public Schools Updates Defibrillator Policies

The Bethel School Board updated its policies regarding defibrillators and cardiac emergency response plan on Monday, Sept. 9.Superintendent Dr. Matt Posey said there are currently 13 devices located throughout the campus. The next step is to designate a response team at each site.

Members of the American Legion, Post 244 and the Cub Scout Troop 477, both in McLoud. The two organizations held a Flag Retirement Ceremony. A member of the American Legion said there were so many flags received that it was impossible to retire all of them in one evening. We will watch for another ceremony to be held in the near future. Frontier Day’s Pageant Adds $500 Scholarship For Contestants

On Sept. 22 at 3 pm, the Frontier Days Pageant will feature 41 contestants dancing in a musical number, modeling outfits, performing a talent, and being interviewed. But, the oldest contestants in the Miss Frontier Days division will have more at stake this year.

Adam Hampton’s Chilling Script Set to Become Feature Film

Adam Hampton, a filmmaker from Shawnee, has just landed the top prize in the first-ever Kinolime.com audience-driven screenplay contest with his chilling script, “The Waif.” Beating out over 600 submissions, Hampton’s win means his screenplay will be developed into a fully financed feature film.
