Mr. Fix-It

Eventually, as with all homes, there comes the need to do maintenance, repairs, and updates. Although we started our tiny home six years ago, Mr. Right and I find ourselves already maintaining it when it took all this time to build the house. We built it ourselves.

This legislative session, my colleagues and I focused on protecting Oklahomans, improving access to care and being responsible with taxpayer dollars. Several of the new laws we passed this year deal with insurance and how your state government handles public funds.

The Golden Age Center is decked out in fall colors and with Halloween decorations; now if only fall weather would begin to appear.We want to congratulate Johnny and Barbara Geyer, who celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary this month.

The Internet, social media and virtual communities have transformed how we work and play, no doubt – and not always for the better. For every high-tech breakthrough in communications, we find bad actors hellbent on using such advances to exploit and harm our children and their families.

It appears that many people enjoy horror movies. I do not have the fortitude to withstand the nightmares brought on by such scream-inducing celluloid.I recall when Halloween was NOT a series of blood-curdling, knife-wielding, hockey-masked movies.

Golden Age Frontiersman & Sweetheart

Congratulations are in order for our 2025 Frontiersman, Lonnie Hurst, and our Senior Sweetheart, Almeda Dyer, who were crowned during Frontier Days in Tecumseh to represent the Golden Age Center in the celebrations.
