Capitol Notes

Thursday, Mar. 23, was our final day to pass House bills through the House chamber, and we ultimately heard 477 bills ahead of the third reading deadline. Two of the bills approved were two of my own.

The Ten Acre Observatory

March was another one of those months that provided an evening or two of good viewing, but overall, it caused problems for those wanting to do some deep sky observing. Lingering cloud cover and high winds were the culprits here at TAO.

Black and white TV viewers of yesteryear will recall Art Linkletter’s show by the same name. This column will relate children’s comments I have personally heard or those told to me. My aunt told this one about one of my cousins when he was about five years old.

Seventy-two percent of Americans say we’re headed in the wrong direction under President Biden’s leadership. I am one of them, and it’s pretty likely you are, too. In Oklahoma, and much of the nation, everyday life is harder and less safe under President Biden’s economy and policies.

Not long ago, the U.S. was the largest energy producer in the world and gas was affordable. That all changed on President Biden’s first day in office when he began his assault on American energy.

How To Use The Electric Toothbrush

I’ve spent 64 years using a regular hand-manipulated toothbrush. For Christmas last year Mr. Right gave me exactly what I asked for. Fast forward two months, and I’ve finally gotten around to using them.
