Samples Of When Every Day Was Spring

It has previously been reported that I taught American Defense Policy (1973-76) at the University of Kentucky. This was one of the most enjoyable assignments in my 20-year Air Force career. Here are samples of that experience when every day was spring.

Tecumseh Golden Age Center

The Golden Age Center has been in the holiday spirit all during the month of December. We even participated in the city’s Christmas parade on the 8th. Hope everyone enjoyed it since the Grinch didn’t!

The Colorful, Sometimes Crazy Uncles

Looking in my rearview memory mirror, I’m convinced either one or all of my departed eight uncles could easily qualify for inclusion in a Charles Dickens novel. Most smoked/chewed tobacco--- Kentucky gave them an early head start. More than one drank, more than one drank to excess.

Capitol Comments

As we approach the end of the year, which means the end of the 117th Congress, both the House and Senate are left with major pieces of legislative work incomplete. Democrats control the process in both the House and Senate, and one-party rule has led us to this stalemate.

Hope all of you were able to enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends. Thanks to the Gilbert family and many volunteers, Tecumseh enjoyed a community Thanksgiving dinner served for free to everyone in this town.
