Oklahoma Baptist University senior Kaylen King, a graphic design major from Bethany, Oklahoma, earned a prestigious Gold Addy Award at the Addy Awards, presented by the American Advertising Federation on Feb. 15, 2025, in Oklahoma City.

MGMoA Announces 5th Annual High School Juried Art Exhibition

(SHAWNEE, Okla.) – The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art is thrilled to announce its 5th Annual High School Juried Art Exhibition, offering high school students across Oklahoma the opportunity to showcase their artistic talents in a professional museum setting and win cash prizes.

Celebrate Dolly Parton’s Birthday with Pioneer Library System

Cleveland, McClain, and Pottawatomie Counties, OK. January 2025 — On January 19, Pioneer Library System invites the community to celebrate the birthday of an iconic entertainer and philanthropist, Dolly Parton!
The host for Songwriter Night at Music Unlimited, Kevin Hall, performs one of his songs on Jan. 3, as business owner Jeff Hawkins works the sound and lights. Hall suggested the event to Hawkins in 2022, where singer-songwriters are invited to try out their songs on an audience. They host about eight artists on the first Friday of each month since it resumed in Oct. 2024. Countywide & Sun/Natasha Dunagan

50th Wedding Anniversary

Doctor Donald and Janelle Rominger observed their 50th wedding anniversary at their rural home near Tecumseh on Saturday, July 27. The small gathering was hosted by their daughter, Leslie Bell of Kemp, Texas.
