CPN Pre-K Students Present At Language Fair

Citizen Potawatomi Nation Public Information Department When the 21st annual Oklahoma Native American Youth Language Fair took place on April 1 at the Sam Noble Museum, young Citizen Potawatomi Nation students were some of those represented.

SSC Hosts the Thirteen All-Black Towns Of Oklahoma Exhibit

Seminole State College is hosting the Thirteen All-Black Towns of Oklahoma traveling exhibit in the lobby of the Enoch Kelly Haney Center throughout the month of June.The exhibit, curated by the Oklahoma Historical Society, explores the history of All-Black towns that are still incorporated today.

SSC Opens Career Center to Help Students Prepare for the Job Market

Seminole State College recently opened a Career Center to help students prepare as they enter the workforce. Services provided include résumé writing/ editing, practice interviews and a local job board. Students can also explore microcredentials programs SSC offers to bolster their résumé.

Students Honored At Pinning Ceremony

Shawnee – More than 70 Shawnee High School students were honored during a recent Shawnee Advanced Gifted Education (S.A.G.E.) pinning ceremony.S.A.G.E. is designed to ignite the minds of exceptional learners, said Megan Bloom, SHS assistant principal.

Cox Receives POE High School Educator Merit Award

For 30 years, Jennifer Cox has been teaching art at Tecumseh High School - and more importantly, building confidence in her students.So, it should come as no surprise that she was honored by the Professional Oklahoma Educators Foundation on April 19.

McLoud School Foundation Selects 25 Teachers As Grant Recipients

The McLoud School Foundation recently selected 25 teacher grants totaling $19,990.02 submitted by teachers in McLoud Public Schools. The grant recipients will now be able to purchase a variety of educational supplies.
