Macomb baseball's ready to make history

Macomb’s baseball team, alongside second-year Head Coach Anthony Hopkins, is getting ready to take this season by storm , hoping to shock everyone. The expectations for this season, per Coach Hopkins, are to learn from their mistakes during the season.

Macomb’s players and Coach Jimmy Hancock, the head girls basketball and softball coach are all in the process of transitioning from basketball to slow pitch. For now, they are getting back into the swing of things for the season, literally.

BHS's first Girls Powerlifting state placer

Bethel Powerlifting had a very busy week this past week, as the girls competed at the OGPCA State Powerlifting Meet at the Choctaw Casino in Durant, and the Boys traveled to Hartshorne High School for the OPCA Southeast Regionals for both Junior High and High School.

SHS girls basketball player Daley Rice scores 1000th point

Shawnee senior Daley Rice scored her 1000th point on Jan. 25 during Shawnee’s Invitational. Rice has played all of her high school ball with Shawnee.

The Lady Redskins won, 44-30, and advance to the Semifinals today (March 12) at 6 pm in Yukon. If they win, they will move on to the Finals on Friday, March 13, at 7:45 pm, back at the Coliseum.
