Potawatomi Fire receive third national championship rings

For the third straight year, the Potawatomi Fire hosted The Basketball League (TBL) Championship Banquet and Ring Ceremony.Held at FireLake Arena on Feb.

The 1976 Seminole Junior College Belles were honored during halftime of the SSC game on Feb. 16 commemorating their 50th Anniversary National Championship. '76 Belles return home

The Seminole State College Belles led 40-27 at halftime over Northern Oklahoma College-Tonkawa on Monday night, Feb. 16, 2026, before honoring the 50th anniversary of the 1976 national championship team.The ’76 squad finished that year 362, defeating Jackson 83-74 in the 1976 National title game.

Local Gymnasts place at Bart Conner Invitational

The Boys Team at Rising Star Gymnastics continued their season at the Bart Conner Invitational in Norman, OK, on Feb. 8. The trio all competed at Level 3, but in different divisions.Jackson Bottoms competed in Division One and placed first on rings, parallel bars, high bar and All-Around.
