The Shawnee Lady Wolves Volleyball Team hosted their OSSAA Class 5A Regional Volleyball Tournament on Oct. 14 .for the first time since 2016, according to their Facebook post. Shawnee played East Central and won, 3-0 (25-9, 25-9, 25-11). Then, they beat Coweta, 3-2 (25-23, 23-25, 26-28, 25-21, 16-14), to win regionals and move on to the state competition. The Dale Lady Pirates Fast-Pitch Team makes a dogpile after winning the OSSAA Class 2A Fast-Pitch Softball State Championship, held at Devon Park in OKC on Oct. 12. The Lady Pirates topped Howe, 10-0, on Oct. 10, and beat Oktaha, 2-0, on Oct. 11, before narrowly claiming victory with Pocola, 1-0. The score was 0-0 until the bottom of the seventh inning when Dale finally got one across home plate. Their record this season is 42-1. Countywide & Sun/Natasha Dunagan
