Dale Middle-Schooler Breaks Powerlifting World Records

At just 12 years old, Dale sixth-grader Colleen Williams has set the bar and passed it a few times. That is, she has set the weightlifting bar and broken several records.Williams trains in powerlifting four days a week at Crain’s Muscle World Ltd.

Lady Savages Extend Streak to Six with Dominant 3-0 Week

Last week was a rather light week for the Lady Savages Fast Pitch team as Tecumseh went 3-0 to extend their winning streak to six on the way to an 18-3 record. In the three games, the Lady Savages outscored their opponents 30-5.

For the second week in a row, the EHS Lady Wildcats claimed Runner Up in The Heartland Championship cross country race held at North Rock Creek, and all five team members medaled. Freshman Peighton Worley took seventh, sophomores Karmalea Howell and Aha Roubidoux placed eighth and ninth, respectively. Freshman Zeaonna McGregor placed 11th and junior Xalina McCarroll placed 15th.

Savages Hold Off Chieftains In Annual Highway 9 Showdown

The annual battle of Highway 9 turned into a defensive battle between Tecumseh and Seminole last Friday night.The Savages kicked off to Seminole to open the game, and the Chieftains went on a long drive starting at the Seminole 42-yard line.
Jackson Winrow, Walter Cudjo and Coach Billy Brown were inducted into the Shawnee Football Hall of Fame during halftime of Shawnee’s first home game on Sept. 13. Winrow, Class of 2016, is joined by his twin daughters, Alani and Jaielle, 4. The late Walter Cudjo’s son, Anthony Derone Cudjo, accepted his plaque. The elder Cudjo was in the Class of 1959. The Lady Savages had a full week off from Thursday to Thursday, but the final three days were busy and scary.Tecumseh began the Tecumseh-Dale Tournament at home last Thursday and started off with a 10-win over Shawnee.
