Tecumseh Savages Take Fourth in Bethel Tournament

Last week was a tough one for the Tecumseh Savage basketball squad. The Savages opened the week on the road at Ada on Tuesday and took a 7251 loss before starting a tough Bethel Tournament on Thursday.

Lady Savages Crowned Tournament Champions

After going 1-1 in their opening week, the Lady Savage round ballers rolled through their second week with four straight wins and a Bethel Tournament Championship. Tecumseh opened the week on the road facing a tough Ada squad and managed to squeak out a 38-34 over the Lady Cougars.

Lady Indians Edge Out Tupelo

It was a busy week for Asher as both teams competed in the Pontotoc Conference Tournament at Stonewall. The Lady Indians tipped off Monday, Dec. 4, against the tournament host, the Stonewall Lady Longhorns.

Bethel Lady Wildcats began last week with a 50-37 win over the Sulphur Lady Bulldogs. Josie Megehee scored 20 points, Ava Gascon scored 18, Lexi Tucker scored 10, and Layla Menhusen scored two. On Thursday, Dec. 7, the Lady Wildcats played host to the First United Basketball Tournament.

In another successful week for Dale basketball, both the Lady Pirates and the Pirates emerged champions in the Boomerang Classic Tournament. The tournament saw both teams showcase strong performances to secure their respective titles. The Lady Pirates tipped off Thursday evening against Cushing.

DURANT – Oklahoma Baptist met Southeastern State’s Savage Storm on Saturday in Durant. Led by freshman Parker Stevenson, the Bison rallied from a nine-point halftime deficit and claimed a 56-54 win in Great American Conference action at Bloomer Sullivan Arena.
