County Approves New Health Insurance, Effective In 2024

Pottawatomie County employees will be moving to a new health insurance plan in 2024. The Board of County Commissioners voted Monday, Oct. 30, to move to the Oklahoma Public Employees Health and Welfare Plan (OPEH&W) but will decide which health plan when they are ready to approve the contract.

The Second Annual City of Tecumseh Scarecrow Contest was judged on Oct. 30, and the results have been announced. With the new division between Traditional and Halloween scarecrows, there were twice as many winners.
