On the corner of Gaddy Road and New Hope Road stood a two-room, rural schoolhouse. It had a cinder block cafeteria built on the southern end and a stage built on the northern end. After having two outhouses - boys and girls - for years, it also had indoor restrooms built onto the western side.

Only One Finding In The Shawnee Public Schools Audit

Jeff Jenkins from Jenkins and Kemper, CPA, presented the 2022-23 fiscal year Audit Report to the Shawnee Board of Education at the regular meeting on Feb. 5.
There was only one finding, and safeguards have been put into place to prevent it from happening again, said Shawnee Superintendent Dr.

When the school year began, Earlsboro Public Schools had a new superintendent to lead them. However, instead of a fresh face, it was an old friend.
Ryan Friend began as a business teacher at Earlsboro High School in 2005.

A former Shawnee Police officer has been charged with second-degree arson, conspiracy to commit arson, endangering the lives of emergency personnel, and filing a false police report, according to District Attorney Adam Panter.
