It was a windy afternoon for a protest Friday, Mar. 3, outside of the Pottawatomie County Courthouse. Signs were flying as a small group of citizens shared their testimonies on their experiences with the Pottawatomie and Lincoln County court systems.

City Meeting Dominated By Truck Route Discussions, Public Hearings

What roads should truckers and 18-wheelers be able to take through the city of Tecumseh? That question occupied almost a half hour (approximately 25 min.) of Monday night’s City Council Regular Meeting, from which Ward 3 Commissioner Don Bradley was absent.
The 2021-2022 Shawnee Building Teachers of the Year were recognized at the March 7 Board of Education meeting. Shawnee Board Honors Swim Team, Teachers Of The Year

The Shawnee Board of Education meeting on March 7 featured two groups of special guests. First, the Shawnee High School Swim Team was honored, and two swimmers led the invocation and the pledge. Sophomore Clara Timmons gave the invocation, and junior Ethan Oller led the flag salute.
