High Schooler Wins Four Titles At 2021 Oklahoma State Fair

Citizen Potawatomi Nation tribal member and National FFA Organization member Helen Spears showed two cattle at the 2021 Oklahoma State Fair. Throughout the weeklong competition, the Lamirand family descendant won four titles with two heifers.

The Mabee-Gerrer Museum of Art will host its 2nd High School Juried Art Exhibition in March. In the 2021 High School Juried Art Exhibition, four students were awarded cash prizes for their artworks, out of the forty that applied.

A New Broadband Cable Provider Is Coming To Shawnee

Shawnee will soon have a new broadband (fiber) cable provider. Desi Stoops with Clarity Telecom, LLC presented information to the Shawnee City Commission Tuesday, Jan. 18, before a non-exclusive franchise permit was approved.
