Friday, January 14th, is the last day to apply for voter registration in order to be eligible to vote in the February 8, 2021. There will be a Board of Education Primary for Prague School Seat #2 and Konawa School Seat #1 and a Special Election for the Town of Bethel.

New Director Hired For Child Advocacy Center

With the start of a new year, the new director, Kayxandra (KC) Koonce, will take the lead at the Child Advocacy Center. Dist. 1 Commissioner Melissa Dennis made a motion to hire Koonce with county funds. “I believe she is the appropriate person to hire,” said Dennis.

School Board Filings Close, Elections In April

The candidate filing period for school board elections closed Wednesday, Dec. 8. Many of the candidates were unopposed, thereby automatically winning the seat. Asher, Dale, McLoud, and Wanette Schools will hold elections for school board positions in April, 2022.
