FUB Hosts Benefit And Donates To Big Brother, Big Sister

First United Bank in Shawnee recently hosted “Big Screen Under the Stars” to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shawnee. This movie night, which took place on the back patio of First United Bank, increased awareness of the program in the community and helped raise $2,146.

SSC’s LPN to RN Online Degree Program Receives Accreditation

The Seminole State College Nursing Program’s LPN to RN online degree program was recently accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing. In August, the Oklahoma Board of Nursing approved the online option.

City Discusses Depot Study Findings

The Shawnee City Commission held a work session Monday, Dec. 6. The 8:30 am meeting consisted of a thorough update for the rehab of the Santa Fe Depot.
City Manager Andrea Weckmuellar-Behringer began the work session by providing an overview of the Depot’s history and footprint.
