Redistricting Will Affect County Voters

Mandatory redistricting efforts have caused some precinct boundaries to change. As a result, some voters will be assigned to new polling places, Patricia Carter, Pottawatomie County Election Board Secretary announced today.

The Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce Legislator’s Luncheon on April 22 started off with Oklahoma Senator Shane Jett asking the three Pottawatomie County Commissioners how much they pay to blacktop one mile of road. The answer was $200,000. He would revisit that fact later.

Only one athlete In Tecumseh School’s sports history played on one of the two undefeated THS football teams, and was also to coach the school’s only other unbeaten squad. That would be Alva Melot, who passed away recently, at the age of 103.
