The May Shawnee City Council meeting started off with an introduction of the Shawnee 2026 student/teacher delegation for the Sister Cities exchange trip to Nikaho, Japan.

John Outon has left the building

John Outon has been the band director at Tecumseh High School for 26 years.Throughout that time, he has taught many students and fostered their minds by teaching them love for music.He is truly the teacher parents hope their students will have.

KidSpace Park played host to the OKC Thunder organization April 30 for their rescheduled Thunder UP Tour. A very large crowd came out to show their support for the Thunder and enjoyed an exciting mobile fan experience!

Tecumseh Fire Chief speaks about downtown fire

The fire that sent black smoke billowing from the Jordan Contractors, Inc., mechanic shop, at the corner of Maple and 4th streets in downtown Tecumseh on May 6, is still under investigation by the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner and State Fire Marshal, according to Tecumseh Fire Chief Rhett Banks.

The May Tecumseh School Board meeting opened with a Student Showcase. The Barnard Elementary Science Technology, Reading, Engineering, Art and Math (STREAM) Team Students brought their dioramas and presented them to the board.
