Man Charged With Murder After Wife’s Fatal Shooting

As Tecumseh and Seminole wrapped up their annual football rivalry and headed home on the night of September 13, a call came into 911 at 9:38 pm regarding a possible suicide. The Tecumseh Police Department dispatched officers to the scene.

Stephens, Madson Sworn In, SEFF Will Host Christmas Parade

Yes, Shawnee, there will be a Christmas Parade. But before we get to that, Eric Stephens was sworn in as Mayor; Greta Madson was sworn in as the Ward 2 City Commissioner; and, Kimberley Smith was sworn in as the City Treasurer.
Amadeus Sandifer and Jacob Vincent, with belt buckle, tied for first place in the Pottawatomie County Free Fair Big Bass Contest. Both of their fish weighed 5.7 pounds each. There was also a tie for second place between Grayson Jones and Cruz Winn, who both caught 2.12-pound bass. The first-place winners will receive $220 and a belt buckle, and the second-place winners get $110 each. Entries Up At The 2024 Free Fair

Pottawatomie County Free Fair participants had nearly 1,800 entries by 3987 exhibitors this year.In 2023, 1670 entries and 336 exhibitors were registered. This year, 387 exhibitors had 1,798 entries. The Free Fair Board was happy to see the increase.
