Tecumseh Band Students Find Inspiration on Pikes Peak

The pieces have been percolating in the mind of Tecumseh Band Director John Outon for a long time, and everything finally came together over Labor Day weekend.About 10 years ago, on a mission trip to Colorado Springs, CO, Outon learned that Pikes Peak helped inspire the song “America the Beautiful.

Tina Hanna: Revitalizing SCI and Making Dreams Come True

In February, she sang her way to victory at the We-Care-Aoke benefi tting Community Market of Pottawatomie County. Last month, she danced her way to runner-up in the Oklahoma Children’s Health Foundation’s “Dancing For A Miracle” event.

United Way Kickoff Cookoff Has 21 Entries, Hosts 200 Guests

For the second year, the United Way Eastern Frontier Country (formerly “of Pottawatomie County”) (UWEFC) has mixed their fund-raiser kickoff, a dash of competition, and a generous helping of lunch.

On Aug. 20, the Avedis Foundation proudly announced a $167,525.00 grant to Community Market of Pottawatomie County.

There was something for everyone during the Sixth Annual Cops n’ Kids, held at the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center, Sat., Aug. 24, and approximately 3,000 people attended.
