The Shawnee Civic and Cultural Development Authority (SCCDA, aka Expo Trust), known for its oversight of the Heart of Oklahoma Expo Center and its commitment to agricultural development, officially dissolved on Thursday, Sept. 19, 2024, after 48 years of service.

A Chandler man who reportedly secured a job with Oklahoma Juvenile Affairs in Tecumseh faces five felonies related to alleged crimes dealing with child pornography.Three charges were originally filed in early September in Lincoln County District Court against Jerrod Tyler Collins, 37.

County Approves SUVs for Tecumseh Schools

Tecumseh Public Schools will soon have two new SUVs in its fleet. The purchase was approved in the July 15, 2024, meeting of the Tecumseh School Board and presented to the Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners on Tuesday, Sept. 17.
