SSC Names Isaacs Dean of Instruction

Professor of English Jessica Isaacs has been named the new Dean of Instruction at Seminole State College, effective July 15, 2024.Isaacs has worked full-time at Seminole State College for the past 22 years.

Student-Athlete Handbooks Created By Bays Are Required

The August School Board Meeting was held at the Tecumseh Early Childhood Center (TECC). The campus theme this year is “Camping” and the board members had the pleasure of seeing all of the hard work the site staff has put in to decorating their building. Each school site has a different theme.

Free Meals For Bethel Elementary Students

Superintendent Dr. Matt Posey informed the Bethel Board of Education that all elementary students will receive free breakfast and lunch with the CEP program. No application is needed for this program. However, the Middle School and High School do not qualify for the same program.

Balloon Festival Attracts Estimated 60,000 People

“We are still awaiting a final count, but early estimates are at 60,000 attendees throughout the course of the weekend,” said Citizen Potawatomi Nation (CPN) Social Media/Online Coordinator Reid Vishanoff, in an email, about the Seventh Annual FireLake Fireflight Balloon Festival.

Josh Hutton has been named Director of Communications at Seminole State College, following six years as the college’s Communications Coordinator.Hutton will now represent the college on the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education’s Communicators Council.
