Gary Brewster passed away on June 23, 2026, in Shawnee Oklahoma after heart problems. He was born on Feb. 8, 1950, in Elk City, OK, to Ed and Bea Brewster. Gary graduated from Canute High School. He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from Central State College.

Robert Wesley Rushing

Robert Wesley Rushing, resident of Shawnee, passed away on June 26, 2026. Robert was born on Jan. 2, 1963, in Oklahoma City to Thomas Wesley Rushing and Thelma Joan Reynolds Rushing. Robert attended Faith 7 School and later went to Faith 7 Sheltered Workshop from 1969 to Aug. 2002.

Glen Pence was born in Sterling, OK, on Sept. 30, 1933, to Thelma and Medaris “Doc” Pence. He grew up in Fletcher, OK, where he graduated from high school in 1951. As a senior, he felt called to the ministry and began preaching in abandoned schoolhouses.

Michael “Mike” Shayne Hammons was born on Dec. 29, 1959, to Gene and Mary (Brown) Hammons. He was raised and attended school in Shawnee, OK. The Lord called him home on June 20, 2026.Mike married his beloved wife, Frankie, April 19, 1996 and became a wonderful stepfather to three children.

Frances Washburn, 89, passed away June 20, 2026. She was born on Jan. 31, 1937, in Shawnee, OK to Eugene Carlton Sr. and Emma (London) Carleton. Frances was a 1955 graduate of Shawnee High school.

Ivan “Scott” Patterson, passed away June 13, 2026. He was born, Sept. 2, 1962, in Shawnee, OK to Ivan and Janita Patterson. Scott graduated from Shawnee High School with the class of 1980.

John David Aldridge was born on Sept. 26, 1941, and left this world on June 20, 2026.John was born in Kansas to Valentine Pearl Bolton and John Henry Aldridge. He graduated from Bethel High School and went straight into the Marines.

Gerren Bowlan passed away May 24,2026. He was born Nov. 23, 1982. He was a graduate of the Aircraft Aviation Technician program at Gordon Cooper and Bethel High School in 2001.
