Incoming Bethel Freshman Wins at State AIM Shoot

In the last eight months, Corley Steward of Bethel turned 14 and started shooting in trap competitions for both AIM and the junior high FFA Shooting Team. And, earlier this month, Steward won first in the AIM State Shoot Handicap Sub-Junior Division with a 97.
On May 2-3, 24 Tecumseh FFA members attended the Oklahoma State FFA Convention in Tulsa, and five received their State FFA Degrees, according to the Tecumseh FFA Facebook page. Eleven Pottawatomie County Students Earn State FFA Degrees

The Oklahoma State FFA Convention was held in Tulsa earlier this month, and several chapters in Pottawatomie County had members receiving their State FFA Degrees. This is the second-highest degree in FFA, only below the American FFA Degree.

Tecumseh Graduate Is Twice National Champion On College Shooting Team

Two years ago, Dawson Arnett was the first Tecumseh High School senior to sign a letter of intent for the shooting sports. Fast forward to last month, and he was competing with the Connors State College (CSC) Shooting Sports Team at two national meets.

2023-24 Agriculture Youth Council Application Deadline Extended

The deadline to apply for the 2023-24 Agriculture Youth Council has been extended by one week. Applications are now due by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 5, 2023. The Agriculture Youth Council is available to Oklahoma high school students entering their senior year in the fall of 2023.

The 2023 PCJLS Premium Auction was definitely a night to remember. The place was packed, standing room only, and every attendee was there to support the kids.  Suzanne Gilbert said, “I don’t have an exact amount because we are still receiving a few add-ons.

Three County Ag Students Awarded OYE Scholarships

Three Agriculture students from Pottawatomie County were awarded scholarships in February through the 2023 Oklahoma Youth Expo (OYE). Dale senior Morley Griffith was chosen for the Diamond Hats - Marilyn Harrel Scholarship in the amount of $5,000.

American FFA Degree Received By 16 Local Graduates
