This school year has been a busy and successful one for the Bethel FFA Shooting Sports Team. The following is a list of competitions and results for the team, provided in an email by Bethel FFA Advisor and Agriculture Teacher Dr. Brett Scott.

This year’s Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show (PCJLS) Premium Auction and add-ons totaled a little over $325,000, an increase from last year, “with all monies going to the exhibitors,” said Suzanne Gilbert.

National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week is Feb. 2128, and according to ffa.org, each day has a theme. Sunday is SAE Day; Monday is Day of Service; Tuesday is Alumni Day; Wednesday is Advisor Appreciation Day; Thursday is Give FFA Day; and, Friday is Wear Blue Day.

The Pottawatomie County Junior Livestock Show (PCJLS) is returning next month, kicking off with the Pig Roast and Trophy Auction on Feb. 2, beginning at 6:30 pm at FireLake Arena.Then, the livestock show will be held Feb.

On Jan. 15, North Rock Creek (NRC) Public Schools announced on their Facebook page that sophomore John Williams is one of only 400 students nationwide to receive a $1,000 National FFA Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) Grant.

During the 98th Annual National FFA Convention & Expo, on Nov. 1, there were two members from Pottawatomie County who were presented with their American FFA Degrees - the highest degree in the organization.
