Stipends And Raises Approved For Tecumseh Employees

There was a larger than-normal crowd at the Tecumseh City Council meeting held Monday, Aug. 7. Two separate agenda - discussion concerning the Tecumseh Youth Sports Association (TYSA) contract and discussion about a structure at 206 W. Tennyson, Tecumseh - items drew attendees to the meeting.

Two Bethel Band Students Play Across Europe

This summer will be one to remember for two Bethel High School band students. Bethel graduate Summer Stiles and junior Phillip Mullendore traveled and performed with the Oklahoma Ambassadors of Music in June as they visited England, France, Switzerland, Germany and Austria.

SPS Insurance Claim Estimated At $20-$30 Million

August 10 - the start day for Shawnee Public Schools - is fast approaching. But April 19 and the remaining tornado damage still loom large in the rearview mirror. Nevertheless, new Shawnee Superintendent Dr. Aaron Espolt said every site will be completely accessible inside their buildings.

Tecumseh Library Wraps Up Summer Learning Events

On Wednesday, June 26, the Tecumseh Library hosted this year’s last Summer Learning Event. The library welcomed Liana Donsbach from the Museum of Osteology. She has been working with kids all year, teaching classes on the different ways forensics combines with osteology.

Outdoor Nation Expo To Host OK Deer Hunting Conference

Attention all outdoors enthusiasts or those wishing to learn, the Outdoor Nation Expo (ONE) will be held for the sixth year at FireLake Arena in Shawnee on Aug. 11-12. And, this year, it will be held in conjunction with the Oklahoma Deer Hunting Conference.
