Shawnee Rec Center's closing out fall and bringing on Christmas

We have enjoyed seeing some of the autumn hues in our Shawnee Parks, and I hope you get to enjoy the outdoor sites while the weather allows!Last weekend our Fall Youth Volunteer Program completed a capstone project at the Rotary Briscoe Boy Scout Park by adding a sidewalk chalk obstacle course.

Shawnee moves on property

An executive session was held to discuss two items on the Shawnee City Commission agenda for the meeting held on Nov. 17. The first topic discussed behind closed doors involved a property that was being sold adjacent to a Shawnee Public Works Department property.

Donna Snodgrass has devoted her life to serving veterans and their families. She has worked with the Naval Sea Cadets for 35 years and with the Tecumseh American Legion Auxiliary for eight years.Most recently, in July, Snodgrass became the American Legion State Auxiliary First Vice President.
