THS Grapplers Continue To Improve

Tecumseh wrestling, continuing to improve all season, had successful Regional Tournaments for both the Savages and Lady Savages and are sending a total of six to the State Tournament at the Big House. Along with the State Qualifiers, there is an additional alternate lying in wait.

Dale Sails Through Districts To Claim Titles

Dale Lady Pirates sailed to a 65-30 win over Wynnewood to win the District Championship Saturday, Feb. 18. Over half the total points scored by the team, twelve shots for 36 points, were made from the three-point line. Sophomore Ava Bell led the attack with 17 points, including three treys.

Bethel Has High Hopes For The Season

It may still be winter, but at Bethel High School, baseball season has begun. The first of six scrimmages began on Feb. 15. The third home scrimmage will happen today (Feb. 23) at 4 pm, hosting Santa Fe South. The season will be kicked off with a bash - the Bethel Baseball Bash - on Sat.

Lady Savages Tip Off At Regionals Tonight

The Lady Savages are District Champs and headed to Regionals in the winners’ bracket today (Thursday) at Crossings Christian in Oklahoma City. The T-Town ladies hosted the Crossing Christian ladies at Tecumseh last Friday night and pummeled the Knights to claim the title.

BHS Rolls Past Opponents

On Friday, Feb. 10, the Lady Wildcats made the short trip to McLoud. During the game, Bethel’s Parker Stevenson broke 1,600 for a career high, total points. She has added a few more points to this since that night, and the team will begin playoffs with district play tomorrow at Okmulgee.

Bethel senior C.J. Compton grew up in a “Sooner family,” and he started playing football at age five for Jennings Public Schools. So, naturally, it was a dream for Compton to be a University of Oklahoma football player.

Lady Savages Headed To Playoffs

The 16th ranked Tecumseh Lady Savages are 18-5 on the season and are headed to the playoffs with a three-game win streak and winners of 11 of their last 13. The T-Town Ladies will begin the playoffs by hosting Districts tomorrow (Friday) as they face Crossings Christian (10-10).

The Universities of Oklahoma and Texas are headed for the Southeastern Athletic Conference effective July 1, 2024, one year earlier than previous agreements between the schools, the SEC, and the Big 12 Conference.
