THS Grapplers Host Shawnee

The Savage Wrestlers finished off the regular dual season last Thursday with Senior Night, as they welcomed Shawnee to T-Town. A number of forfeits by the Savages and a good Wolves team led to a 55-20 loss for Tecumseh. At 106, Shawnee’s Blayne Taber pinned Vivian Hayes in 56 seconds.

Turnovers Plagued Savages

Basketball Homecoming is a big deal on a high school campus and sometimes can lead to lethargy on the floor for the home team. Homecoming, and having to play the early game of the night, could have been problematic early for Savages last Friday night as Tecumseh hosted Bethel on the big night.

Bethel Takes Three Straight Wins

Although the game was moved up a night to avoid the predicted snow, the Lady Wildcats traveled to Little Axe Monday, Jan. 23, and trounced the Indians in a 79-23 win. BHS took a 27-4 lead in the first quarter and continued to overpower the Lady Indians.

Tigers Deal A 77-65 Defeat To The Bison

Ouachita’s LaQuan Butler and Alex Scariolo each reached double- digit scoring as the Tigers used solid shooting in the opening stanza to defeat Oklahoma Baptist on Friday at Bill Vining Arena. By game’s end, the host Tigers dealt the Bison a 77-65 defeat. Bison forward D.J.
