OBU Falls To Henderson State 68-56

Oklahoma Baptist gave a valiant effort in the second half but ended up falling to Henderson State 68-56 on Sunday at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia, AR. The defeat moved the team’s record to 13-8 and 9-6 in the Great American Conference.

Lady Savages Lose The Homecoming Game To Bethel

Last Friday night was a big night in Tecumseh with a queen being crowned and a big game between a couple of cross county rivals. The Savage Homecoming went off without a hitch, and the basketball was exciting the rest of the night.

McLoud sophomores Harley Lail and Alyssa Lail compete in the 5th Annual McLoud Pre-State Warm-up, held on Feb. 3-4. McLoud High School ranked second out of nine schools, and North Rock Creek High School placed first.

Three Bethel High School seniors signed letters of intent with three different colleges. It is believed this ties for the record of the most football signees. The last time this happened was in 2007.

Bethel High School Junior Chosen To Play Softball In Italy

Brooklyn Duff has been playing softball since she was three years old in Wee Ball. She is now a junior at Bethel High School and a shortstop and utility player on the varsity softball team. Duff also plays for the Oklahoma Pure FastPitch 18U travel ball team.

Tecumseh Beats Little Axe, Loses To Seminole

It was a better week on the floor for the Savages basketballers and the weather turned a Tuesday game into a Saturday game last week. Tecumseh won a game and lost another in a real barn burner.

Lady Bison Improve Record To 13-6

Oklahoma Baptist was efficient at the foul line and plenty good in the second half as it led from start to finish in a 67-58 victory against Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday at the Noble Complex. The Bison won their second consecutive game and improved to 13-6 and 9-4 in the GAC.

Lady Savages Continue Their Winning Ways

Despite a delay due to the winter weather early last week, the Lady Savages were able to get two comfortable wins on Friday and Saturday. Tecumseh traveled to Little Axe Friday night and, despite some sloppy moments, the Lady Savages ran off to a 62-24 win over the Lady Indians.
