The Dale Pirates Basketball Team prepares to run up and claim the golden basketball trophy after winning the OSSAA Class 2A Basketball State Championship on March 8 at the State Fair Arena. The Pirates won against Cashion on March 6, 74-55; Fairland on March 7, 76-51; and, Pocola on March 8, 60-20, to take state for the fourth year straight. They end the season with a record of 30-2. It’s a 4-Peat!

The Dale Pirates won their fourth straight State 2A Basketball Championship and were dominant throughout the tournament. The Pirates came into the State Tournament as the number 1 seed.

Lady Savage Tennis opens season hot

Lady Savage Tennis is off to a hot start. The team went to the Ardmore Invitational Tournament and came back with second place overall, along with other hardware.Tecumseh’s #1 Doubles Team of Jalee Meyers and Laycee Thoma grabbed first place in the tournament.

Savages win home opener

The Savage hardballers had their home opener last Friday as they hosted Shawnee and won a close one over the Wolves.Shawnee jumped out on top with three runs in the top of the first inning.

Members of BHS Girls Powerlifting Team medal at State

The Bethel Girls Powerlifting team battled all day Monday, Mar. 3rd in Durant at the Oklahoma Girls Powerlifting Coaches Association (OGPCA) State Powerlifting Meet. Coach Joey Ginn said Bethel competed in the Class 3A-6A Large School Division.“We had two state placers,” said Ginn.
