ECU 2022 Fall Commencement Dec. 10

More than 350 East Central University Tigers are preparing for graduation on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 10 a.m. inside Kerr Activities Center. ECU’s 2022 Distinguished Alumna Anita Holloway will be the keynote speaker.

House Of Hope Receives Domestic Violence Prevention Funds

Citizen Potawatomi Nation Public Information Department The Citizen Potawatomi Nation House of Hope received a $200,000 federal grant to help raise community awareness about domestic violence. It was one of only five programs in Oklahoma to receive the U.S. Indian Health Service funds.

Primeaux Receives Educator Of The Year From OCIE

Superintendent Dr. April Grace announced in her report to the Shawnee Board of Education, on Dec. 5, that Shawnee Public Schools Director of Indian Education Graham Primeaux is being honored. Primeaux was named 2022 Educator of the Year by the Oklahoma Council for Indian Education (OCIE).
