Baukal Named Founding Director Of OBU Engineering Program

Dr. Charles E. Baukal Jr. has been named the founding director of Oklahoma Baptist University’s new engineering program. He assumed the role of director and professor of engineering on Nov. 7. Baukal has over 40 years of industrial work experience.

Bethel, Tecumseh FFA Chapters Receive 3-Star Awards

The Bethel and Tecumseh FFA Chapters both received their Three-Star State Superior Chapter Awards during the Oklahoma FFA Central Area Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) Conference in September.

THS Pig Roast Raises 15-16K

The long-standing tradition of the Tecumseh FFA Pig Roast was back in its old form this year, and it was welcomed with open arms by the community. About 315 people enjoyed a to-go or sitdown meal at the Tecumseh High School Alumni Center on Nov. 18.

Dale, Maud Approved To Use Sales Tax Funds

The Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners approved the purchase of a bus for Dale School, utilizing education sales tax funds. Brent Vanlandingham said the school had recently had a couple of buses down due to transmission problems.

Tecumseh Chamber of Commerce members walked the red carpet for the 2022 Annual Meeting and Business Awards Banquet on Monday, Nov. 14. Held at the Tecumseh City Hall Auditorium at 114 N. Broadway, the dinner was themed “On Broadway” or “Where Stars Come Together.
