Multiple equipment purchases were approved during the Pottawatomie County Board of County Commissioners meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 12.Maud Public Schools' new Superintendent, Brad Hawkins, requested the use of education sales tax monies for the purchase of a new mower and a new engine.

Pott. County Giving Project and Dunbar Heights Community Group Join Forces for Hug-a-thon

The Second Annual Hug-a-thon tripled in size this year, and it was due in part to a collaboration between the Pottawatomie County Giving Project (PCGP) and the Dunbar Heights Community Group (DHCG). Last year, the PCGP had 187 backpacks to give away.
