Season of the Warrior Campaign

Pete Reed, Retired Major, OK Army National Guard, made a stop in Tecumseh last week on behalf of the “Season of the Warrior” Campaign Tour. The goal of the campaign is to reach 100 cities in 100 days to raise funds for the Native American Warrior Project.

So far, the framework has been built for the restroom, and Brooksville Mayor Charles Carthen said, in addition to mens' and womens' restrooms, it will have a sitting area.

Avedis Foundation hosts 8th Annual “Celebrate Educators” Event

Avedis Foundation hosted its 8th annual “Celebrate Educators” event on Friday, August 22 at Firelake Arena in Shawnee, welcoming nearly 2,400 educators from Pottawatomie County and public school districts from the neighboring communities of Seminole, Prague, Meeker, Chandler, and Little Axe.
