Sample ballots are now available for the August 12, 2025, Mid-America Special Proposition Election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board’s OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.

IFYR Thank You Reception shows appreciation for past and present leadership, volunteers

In the middle of the International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), on Wednesday, July 9, a “Thank You Reception” was held to show appreciation for those who have held the IFYR together for the past 33 years (minus 2020 for COVID) and those who are carrying its tradition forward.
Paula Wiley, 5, of McLoud, gets a high-five from Jasey Graves after learning how to throw a lasso. Also shown is Tatum Roberts, who is helping Isabel Nunes, 6, of Shawnee. Shawnee Public Library Branch Manager Mary Sims said this is the 15th year for six IFYR youth directors to visit the library. Sims also interviewed them about their rodeo experiences, and a 'chuckwagon snack' was provided by Lindsey Cowan, Jennifer Gates and Chloe Gates of the Junior Service League.
