Relay for Life of Pottawatomie County is inviting you to their 40th birthday party on April 26, 1-4 pm, at Shawnee Early Childhood Center (SECC).
Ward 4 City Commissioner, John Collier, addressed his fellow council members at April's meeting. He equated his concern for lack of willing citizens to replace aging Tecumseh Council Members, with the drought crisis facing the town 20 years ago that allowed for citizens to walk across Tecumseh Lake. Strong winds on March 14 left the metal canopy over the western bank of stalls twisted and grounded at Sonic Drive-In, 109 E. Walnut, in Tecumseh. Franchise co-owner Brett Blair said they were paying attention when the canopy began to tilt from side to side, and they called the police who blocked off that side of the business, so no one was hurt when it collapsed.
