Relay for Life Celebrates 40th Birthday April 26

Relay for Life of Pottawatomie County is inviting you to their 40th birthday party on April 26, 1-4 pm, at Shawnee Early Childhood Center (SECC).

He equated his concern for lack of willing citizens to replace aging Tecumseh Council Members, with the drought crisis facing the town 20 years ago that allowed for citizens to walk across Tecumseh Lake. During public comments, John Collier, council member for Ward 4, made his way to the podium. This was so he could look at his fellow council members “eyeball to eyeball.” Collier said, “We have an urgency with filling those chairs up there.

Franchise co-owner Brett Blair said they were paying attention when the canopy began to tilt from side to side, and they called the police who blocked off that side of the business, so no one was hurt when it collapsed.
