Avedis awards $500,000 grant to Community Renewal

On Friday, Mar. 26, 2025, Avedis Foundation presented a grant check in the amount of $500,000 to Community Renewal of Pottawatomie County. Kathy Laster, Ph.D.

Education Sales Tax Passes

The April election followed the trend of the last several elections with a low turnout. Most of the races were won decisively. The Pottawatomie County halfcent Education Sales Tax was one of those decisive wins, receiving 2,243 (71.25 percent) Yes votes to 905 (28.75 percent) No votes.
