CPN After School Program Sees Many Changes

Citizen Potawatomi Nation Public Information Department Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s After School Program looks a little different these days. Jerri Mayer, originally hired as a master teacher in spring of 2022, took on the position of program coordinator in November 2022.

June turned out to be not a whole lot better than May in the weather department. While the temperatures got back up to the normal range, the storm systems continued to march through the state. The inclement weather has caused the cancellation of 13 scheduled viewing sessions so far this year.

New Seating Nears Completion At Cinema Centre 8

After three weeks of demo, refinishing and installation, all auditoriums at the Cinema Centre 8 should be completed with new leather, high back rocker seating by next week.

This was 1950s week, said program director Shannon Browning, who added that they would also have a sock hop that day. They have also been to medieval, colonial and the 1980s, and will travel to the Wild West next. There were 26 cars in the show, which was organized by Andy Reich of Romulus Baptist Church.

Tecumseh School Board Appoints Sanchez To Fill Vacant Seat

After two weeks of taking applications and a nearly two-hour deliberation, the Tecumseh School Board appointed Nicole Sanchez to School Board Seat #2. Immediately after, Board President Todd Kennedy swore in Sanchez, she took her seat and voted on all remaining agenda items.
