Betty Jean Griswold

Betty Jean Griswold, 89, resident of Shawnee, died March 24, 2022. Betty was born in Betty was born in Shawnee, Jan. 18, 1933, to her parents, Leslie Howard and Miriam (Ives) Griswold. Betty was laid to rest during a graveside ceremony at Fairview Cemetery on March 30, 2022.

Kimberly (Capps) Brown

Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt Kim Brown went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 15, 2022, after a 4-year battle with lung cancer. She was born June 22, 1966, in Stillwater to Roy and Linda Capps of Shawnee.

Priscilla “Prissy” Jennings

Priscilla “Prissy” Jennings, 80, of Shawnee, OK, died March 6, 2022. She was born April 11, 1941, to Bud and Ozell (Linn) Clark in Byars, OK. Prissy was raised in Byars and east of Noble. She graduated from Noble High School. After high school, she joined the U.S. Navy.

Trina Love Lampl

Trina Love Lampl, 53, died March 8, 2022, in San Francisco, after a brief illness and complications from scleroderma, an autoimmune disorder. She was born Dec. 26, 1968. Trina’s friends and family members will celebrate her life in two states in upcoming services.

Ben Van Schuyver

Ben Van Schuyver, 90, lifelong resident of Wanette, OK, died March 17, 2022, at his home. He was born May 22, 1931, to Theron and Ruth (Roberts) Van Schuyver in Chisholm, OK. Ben married Jimmie Van Schuyver Aug. 15, 1985 in Ada, OK. Ben was a cattle rancher his whole life.

Wilma Maxine Brooks

Wilma Maxine Brooks, 95, of Tecumseh, OK, died March 4, 2022, at The Regency Skilled Nursing in Shawnee, OK. Maxine was born March 2, 1927, in Earlsboro, OK, to Norpha Montgomery and Violet Olympia (Houtz) Montgomery, the third of eight children. She attended school in Harjo, OK.
