Kimberly Nance died March 22, 2022. She was born a twin to Tonya and Robert Ellis of Shawnee on November 2, 1976. Kimberly remarried in 2015 to Randy Nance of Oklahoma City. Funeral services were held March 28, 2022, at Walker Funeral Chapel with Pastor Bill Ladra officiating.

Vernon L. Markwell, 90, died March 26, 2022, in Shawnee, OK. He was born to Harve and Zeffie Markwell on Jan. 21, 1932 in Meeker, OK. He married Tommy Gail Lewis on March 25, 1951 in Shawnee, OK. A funeral ceremony for Vernon was held March 29, 2022 at Aydelotte Church of Christ, Shawnee, OK.

Betty Jean Griswold, 89, resident of Shawnee, died March 24, 2022. Betty was born in Betty was born in Shawnee, Jan. 18, 1933, to her parents, Leslie Howard and Miriam (Ives) Griswold. Betty was laid to rest during a graveside ceremony at Fairview Cemetery on March 30, 2022.

Priscilla “Prissy” Jennings, 80, of Shawnee, OK, died March 6, 2022. She was born April 11, 1941, to Bud and Ozell (Linn) Clark in Byars, OK. Prissy was raised in Byars and east of Noble. She graduated from Noble High School. After high school, she joined the U.S. Navy.

Trina Love Lampl, 53, died March 8, 2022, in San Francisco, after a brief illness and complications from scleroderma, an autoimmune disorder. She was born Dec. 26, 1968. Trina’s friends and family members will celebrate her life in two states in upcoming services.
