Brief History: Camp David was named in honor of President Eisenhower’s father and grandson. President Carter honed his fly-fishing skills in the same stream that President Eisenhower, an accomplished fly fisherman, fished to get away from the craziness of Washington, D.C.

Night Sky Report

We were able to get a couple of viewing sessions in during the first half of December before the cooler weather set in and the seeing was spectacular! With the lower humidity, the Norman light dome was not as prominent, leaving the sky with a much higher contrast factor.

Christmas Kinfolks

Most of my kinfolks always provided lots of hugs, smiles, and sincere Christmas well wishes. However, I have three Christmas memories of kinfolks that were different—very different: Every family has, or knows of, a “Black Sheep.
