Sample ballots are now available for the August 23, 2022 Runoff Primary, Shawnee General Runoff and the Konawa Special School Proposition Election. Voters can download a sample ballot using the State Election Board’s OK Voter Portal at oklahoma.

With the fall semester beginning Aug. 15, Seminole State College will host its Enrollment Extravaganza event and extend enrollment hours to cater to prospective student schedules from Aug. 8 to Aug. 13. The event will feature games, popcorn, hot dogs, cotton candy and campus tours.

For the approximately 5,000 veterans in the Shawnee area, a new option for health care is finally coming to town. A U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) outpatient clinic is set to open in the Fall of this year in Shawnee Health Plaza at 3700 N. Kickapoo Ave.
