THS Grads Find Hollywood Success Behind The Camera

The road to show biz success runs hot between Oklahoma and California for two Tecumseh High School grads, one an entertainment industry veteran with three decades of experience on awardwinning film and TV productions, and one still in school but already racking up time on high-profile movie sets.

SCI Hosts First Mr. & Miss Spectacular Pageant

On Friday, May 13, 2022, South Central Industries (SCI) hosted its first ever pageant for individuals with special needs. This event was modeled after the nationwide Miss Amazing pageant. In March of 2022 the Miss Amazing pageant announced the Oklahoma pageant would not be held this year.

GCTC Promotes What Machining Program Has To Offer

On Tuesday, May 3 Gordon Cooper Technology Center hosted an Advisory Committee Meeting for the school’s Machining Programs. This meeting consisted of manufacturers from around the state, as well as local educators and members of the city government.

Candidates for District Attorney on the June 28 election ballot have been invited to participate in a candidate forum on Monday, May 23. The forum, sponsored by PAVE (Pottawatomie County Advocates for Voter Education), will begin at 7 p.m. in the Shawnee City Hall commission chambers.

Savage Juniors And Seniors Rake In The Awards

For some students at Tecumseh High School, all their schoolwork, community service, and extracurricular activities paid off during the Academic Awards Reception on May 3. The junior and senior awards were presented that evening.

On Thursday The 12th, Frances Sample with Mcdonald’s on Harrison in Shawnee received the Ron Henderson Kindness Forward Award from Shawnee Forward and Demco Printing for the month of May.
