Avedis Awards $5,000 Grant To Local Girl Scouts

A $5,000 grant has been awarded to Girl Scouts Western Oklahoma (GSWESTOK). Like many other programs, GSWESTOK was severely impacted throughout the 39-county service area. In Pottawatomie County there has been a 70 percent drop in membership since the onset of the pandemic.

Fifth Annual FireLake Fireflight Balloon Fest, Aug. 12-13

There were many positives announced at Monday’s April 18 City Commission meeting. The city’s Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) and an Independent Auditor’s Report were presented by a representative from Arledge & Associates for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2021.
